About Sue

I've always believed in a God, though over the years my perception of what God is has changed. As a child, I attended church every Sunday and was taught that those who were good went to heaven, and those who weren't good went somewhere distinctly less pleasant. This sounded like a very tidy way of sorting things out, but I didn't think much of it! Now, of course, I know that we are all of us inherently good, and that dying is simply a continuation of life, filled with joy and promise. And as I became interested in other religions and beliefs, I grew to realise that God is not someone sitting in judgement on us, but is a gentler and far more loving essence of life.

I do believe that all of us - animals as well as humans - besides being physical and emotional beings, are also true spiritual beings. To me, our spiritual self is that loving, caring, compassionate part of us that yearns to better ourselves and to live a life that is true to ourselves, and to others.

I also believe that whatever religion people adhere to, or whether they don't believe in anything, Love is all-important.

Love embraces all the good, positive, hopeful joy of life. Love is the strongest, most creative and best energy there is. When we love, everything falls into place. And when we are loved, we no longer need to hate or fear.

Whether love is physical or emotional or spiritual or a combination of all, it is wonderful and can move mountains. Love makes the world and everyone in it brighter and happier.

As John Lennon wrote:

Love is free

Free is love

Love is living

Living Love
